The optical measuring system was developed and introduced for use to determine the deviation of the pipes cross-section from the ideal circular shape (out-of-roundness).

 The system can be used for the entrance control of the pipes during installation. The out-of-roundness leads to additional stresses on a pipe under pressure. The system can be used for the entrance control of the pipes during installation to exlude the initiation of different kind of defect due to high values of stresses.
